Attended the 2nd edition of Carlsberg‘s Where’s The Party at their very own Brewery where the first Carlsberg beer was locally brewed in 1972. Estimated to have in excess of 2,000 guests at the venue scattered across the various areas of the brewery. Loads of food, games and rides like the Ferris Wheel, Pirate Ship, Adult Carousel and the most packed of all, the Sky Rider.

As usual I got to the venue earlier than everyone else and the crew was still in the midst of setting up under the rain. Made my way into the Tavern for some drink cause I’m a tad thirsty. Ehem. What a way to start the party eh? The first of the many buses ferrying the party goers started to arrive around 4pm from Shah Alam stadium and everyone made their way in and got the party going. The first of the 5 dishes that was served is the Cold Water Prawns with White Fungus, Iberian Ham & Sesame. The Prawns are quite fresh and goes well together with the Iberian Ham. What to expect? Incredible display of dishes infused with Guinness. 8 bold new yuletide Guinness-infused recipes was introduced by Adam that everyone can enjoy in participating outlets throughout December but for now, we got 1st dip! After a short introduction by Peter Khemlani, the marketing manager of Guinness Malaysia, Adam took to the stage to showcase some of the dishes, prepared LIVE in front of the 150 pax (but predominantly blocked by enthusiastic photographers wanting to stand near to him to snap photos of the food preparation.

“As a chef, flavor and taste are very important to me as they are the end result of a well prepared meal. These unique dishes were infused with the bold, distinctive and signature bittersweet taste of Guinness, which is a perfect ingredient to intensify flavors, enhance texture and just make good food taste great.
