Mezza9 @ Glomac Galleria

Posted By Michael Yip / May, 16, 2012 / 0 comments

Was invited to join some blogging friends for dinner recently at this new place simply known as Mezza9 at Sri Hartamas. Now, I could have just said Glomac Galleria but then, not many people will know where it is. After all, it’s a new place and unless you reside in Sri Hartamas or work in the area, you’d definitely not know of the place. Simply put it, to find the place, if you’re on the Sprint highway turning into Desa Sri Hartamas area, it’s the brand new building right smack at the corner. You’d be able to see it if you’re waiting for the Traffic light to turn from Red to Green.

The ambiance and design of the restaurant was comfortably created with the ground floor allocated for the dining pleasure and is the non-smoking area which is fantastic for people like me. For those who wants to smoke, there’s the mezzanine floor where the bar is also located. Pretty neatly done to cater to both crowd and with the sound system piping out Jazz music, I would say this is one of those restaurants that appeals to me. (more…)

Valentine’s Day @ PJ Seafood Restaurant

Posted By Michael Yip / February, 23, 2012 / 0 comments

Sometime back in 2009, I went to PJ Seafood Restaurant like I did every year to celebrate my dad’s birthday and we didn’t have the greatest of experience there and I’ve never been back there since. Not until the recent Valentine’s Day when I decide to take two lovely ladies there for dinner as I was told there’s a new management to the place and it might be better compared to my last experience.

Reason why I choose that day of all days to go for seafood? Well, most couples that celebrates this one day of the year goes to restaurants all over town and have their inflated price set dinners and that just means less crowd in the more ‘regular’ restaurants. Well, logical right? (more…)
