New Malaysian PM names New Cabinet Members
Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Malaysia’s new Prime Minister announced his new 28-member Cabinet with 25 ministries that saw eight ministers dropped and seven new faces appointed at 3pm today.
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who won the Umno deputy presidency in last month’s party elections, was appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister. Najib, who took his oath of office as the new prime minister on April 3, also retained the finance portfolio which he has held since Sept 19 last year following the portfolio swap between him and former premier Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi at that time.
Najib said that the new members of the administration were highly spirited and ready to serve. “I am confident that all of them share the same commitment to spur the nation towards excellence. This is our lineup and our team which reflects Malaysia’s plural society,“ he said when announcing the list at the Prime Minister’s Department, carried live on national television.
The new Cabinet also a reflection of the slogan “One Malaysia. People First. Performance Now” adopted by Najib’s administration. The eight dropped are Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar (Home), Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said (Tourism), Senator Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib (Rural and Regional Development), Senator Datuk Amirsham A. Aziz (Prime Minister’s Department), Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan (Housing and Local Government), Datuk Mohd Zin Mohamed (Works), Datuk Seri Zulhasnan Rafique (Federal Territories) and Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad (Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs) who had resigned. Perak State Government Saga
The current hot buzz that we are getting in Malaysia is the situation within the Perak state government. 4 members of the Pakatan Rakyat government had decided to be independent and pledge their loyalty to Barisan National as independent.
With this turn of event, the Barisan National gained the majority needed to form a new Perak Government and proceed to seek an audience with the Sultan of Perak. You could read more about the updates here. But then wait a minute, the Pakatan Rakyat team is crying foul and does not want to accept defeat. They have no plans to step down from their position and accept defeat, maybe because they have tasted the sweet fruit of being in power and does not want to surrender that luxury that they have only just gotten used to? Samy Vellu – The Man Who is Afraid of Change?
If you’ve read today’s paper, another funny incident had happened again. Datuk M. Muthupalaniappan, MIC’s former Vice-President, a person who wants to compete with Datuk Seri Samy Vellu for the MIC’s Presidential post was sacked.
As usual, as we constantly read in the papers, this is another sign that Samy Vellu is afraid of change, fear that after he relinquished his seat of power, he will be a nobody anymore. Why is he fearing that the same fate will fall upon him just like the way he lost his Sungai Siput parliamentary seat in the March 8, 2008 polls? What is he so afraid to change? Is he planning to remain as the Party President until the day he dies? Lim Keng Yeik, former President of Gerakan retired in 2007. Rafidah Aziz, longest serving civil servant for 32 years, will be retiring in June 2009. Dr. Mahathir, left in 2003. Now Abdullah is retiring this year too. So what is he waiting for?
With Muthupalaniappan out of the way, Samy Vellu would definitely win the post unopposed for the 11th time. That is unless someone would just pop out of no where at the last minute to challenge him which I doubt would happen. Any competitors that he felt would come between him and his post would have been dealt with. Anyone wanting to compete against Samy needs at the minimum, 50 nominations from MIC’s 4,000 branches to qualify. and was confident he could garner three times that number. Datuk M. Muthupalaniappan was confident that he could get that number. (more…)
Cadillac One aka The Obamamobile
Everyone’s talking about Barack Obama’s speech and his inauguration, well, my only comment about his speech was that it was a bloody good one compared to the one given by Busy got knows how long ago. Also, the showcase around the whole inauguration was fantastic and you can find the vides on youtube with ease.

My aim here isn’t to talk about the speech or what happened at the inaguration, but my aim here is to touch on the ride he uses when he travel around. I present to you the Cadillac One aka the ObamaMobile!

Nicknamed The Beast, the vehicle was build by General Motors and is based on a number of GM platforms and shares components with several different vehicles. Its exterior is styled around the Cadillac STS and DTS but underneath the sheet-metal the vehicle is built on a medium-duty truck chassis. A Rough summary is as follow… (more…)
Boycotting USA

Tun Dr. Mahathir aka Chedet ask for Malaysia as all other nations around the globe to boycott the US Dollar and US made products, essentially, everything USA in protest over Washington’s backing of Israel.
Dr Mahathir, who during his two decades in power was a leading voice in the Muslim world, said people had to take action against the United States over its support for Israel, which is conducting a military offensive in Gaza.
‘If you stop accepting US currency, the US can’t trade and can’t make any money, it will become very poor and it will have to stop the production of more and more weapons in order to kill people,‘ he told a press conference. ‘We should not be buying all these weapons from the US, we can buy from the Russians if we must have aeroplanes and things like that,‘ he added, ‘People must act… they won’t die if they don’t drink Coca-Cola.‘
Dr Mahathir criticised the US for blocking a UN resolution calling for an end to the action by Israel, which has launched an air and ground offensive that has left at least 510 Palestinians dead, many of them civilians.

Well, all sounds fantastic from the look of things but then, can we really pull it off? Just stop using all things American made. Right? Products, Services, Stocks. But the big question is, will it work? Stop drinking Coca-Cola, but you still see people buying Coca Cola off the shelf at the local convenient stores. Stop using American made services, but everyone’s still on Ebay and Paypal and is making money out of it. Even Americans themselves are putting up a fight to get the American government to stop supporting the war but all seems to fall of deaf ears. Especially Bushy’s knowing that he’ll want to go for a last push on getting things done his way before he no longer hold any power. But, is there truly a way to send the message across? I think so, at the end of the day, I believe that Politicians should fear the citizens and not the other way around. It is the citizens of the countries that put the politicians to where they are now.
Let’s look at some 10 steps that hopefully would work in sending the message across. (more…)
Most Embarrasing Sex Moment
I know, I know, it isn’t an original post whatsoever, just thought I’d post up something for anyone who comes in here to read. Well, at least until I get to Singapore and get some stuff moving. Packed schedule ahead so need to get my schedules sorted in this trip. Back to back meetings all the way!
Anyway, want to share your most embarrassing sex moments?
Here’s a write up from news.com.au recently. I’ll just cut and paste the whole thing here. The original is here. Well, like I said, I’m just putting it up to take up space and for you to have a good read even if it’s not written by me. It’s still a good read right?
IT has happened to all of us, whether we are over-enthusiastic youngsters or experienced players in the sack. It’s those embarrassing sex moments.
If you watch Hollywood movies having sex is supposed to blissful, problem free but the reality is so different and this applies, from time-to-time, to almost everyone who does it.
And of course it is downright embarrassing.
No one wants to put someone down in the lovemaking stakes and the truth is that most sexual partners will forgive and hopefully forget.
To help overcome the bedroom, office and car blunders in sext, it’s advised to remember the following:
Sex Can Be Clumsy
Whether accidentally knocking heads, pulling hair or taking an elbow in the eye, it’s important to remember that our movements aren’t as well orchestrated as that of a symphony.
Bodies bumping up against one another can get out of control and out of sync.
This is especially true in tight quarters, like one’s car, where lovers feel lucky just to move around. In freeing a limb or swinging a foot or trying to turn over, something is going to be in the way.
Don’t make a bigger deal out of the klutzy situation than is warranted. Just kiss the boo-boo, make it feel better, and get on with things.

Mad Cow Disease the root of Ahmad’s sanity
I read with interest over the couple of days or rather week since that Ahmad made that stupid remark about chinese. And the fire of racism is being stoked even further with these kind of remarks. I’m just going to grab some of the quotes to share here.

Ahmad Ismail, a division chief in the United Malays National Organisation ruling party, claimed that the Malay majority was losing patience with minorities, particularly ethnic Chinese politicians.
“Consider this a warning from the Malays,” Ahmad said. “The patience of the Malays has a limit. Do not push us against the wall, for we will be forced to turn back and push the Chinese for our own survival.”
How to turn your state into a boring one
I read with interest with this news article from The Star just now and yes, I have a big grin on my face as I send a few text messages to some friends with CAP words (why can’t fonts be enlarged on phones?): i TOLD YOU SO!
The Pakatan Rakyat state government has imposed a blanket ban on such concerts until further notice because, it said, such shows could have a negative influence on youths.
“We do not condone any gelek-gelek (gyrating movements) on stage,” said state executive councillor Dr Ismail Salleh. (You can read the rest of the article here.)
Why did I do that? Well, do let me explain. A few friends of mine travelled back to Kedah during the G.E. to cast their votes and the night before, we sat down for some drinks and just some chit chats and naturally, I’d pop the question of the time. “If the Opposition comes into power, especially if PAS wins, they are bound to ban all form of entertainment in the state they rule, can you accept it?”
The answers I got from them is, “No lah, they won’t do that, now is modern society already, they are smart enough to keep the public happy and not go around cancelling out concerts and all that stuff. PAS definitely will try to keep all these entertainment around to keep their public happy wan…”
Of course, I said, “Dudes, if PAS wins, that’s the first thing that’ll happen, all form of entertainments that happened in the states they rules get kicked out of the states faster than you can spell your mother’s name.”
Defensively, in almost a unison reply after downing the 4th jug of beers… “They’re stupid if they do that… blocking all these entertainment for the non-muslims just because they are holier than thou (my bekside) will just push themselves further away from the voters eyes.”
Well friends,…. I TOLD YOU SO! (more…)
PAS’ attempt to ban Avril Lavigne gets laughed at by TYT
Was browsing through Youtube searching for some Avril Lavigne’s music video but came across this instead.
Quite an interesting video show by The Young Turks (TYT) about what they as muslims think about PAS’ action in trying to ban Avril’s concert.
Watch it and have a good laugh at how some stupid action by some brainless group of people gets criticized by oversea medias. This is just one of the few media that pokes fun at our oh-so-holier-than-thou group’s stupidity.

MCA Segambut Division Annual General Assembly 2008
The weekend has been a hectic one for me as on Saturday, the MCA Segambut Division Youth had it’s 2008 General Assembly where we as delegates of the youth members of the various branch voted in the new office bearers for the new term.

On Sunday, we had the MCA Segambut Division Annual General Assembly 2008 where we also had a vote in for new office bearers of the new term. Here, I’ll touch more on the main body’s General Assembly as it was more exciting compared to the tone downed Youth Assembly where the committee was unanimously voted into office by the various branches.
Stepping into the Mont Kiara Club, you could feel the excitement and tension in the air as the members who had submitted their names in to be voted was doing a last minute round of meeting the grassroot members as well as other fellow delegates from the division.
