The KL International Motorshow 2010 came and gone and I would like to thank Toyota Malaysia for giving me the opportunity to work closely with them in documenting the entire duration of the KLIMS2010 through both photography and video. In total, there will be 3 posts from the KLIMS2010, the Cars, the People and a video montage from the video I’ve recorded. The first post post-KLIMS is the Cars. These are some of the vehicles that caught my attention.

7aste New York @ Hex & Mayfair – Party Photos

7aste New York arrived at Hex & Mayfair for a night of partying with awesome performances from a Comedian to a Singer and Beatboxer. It was a thrilling party that didn’t disappoint even though it was raining cats and dogs. Party goers overcome the weather and KL traffic to party the night away and the only people I could think of that would be disappointed about the event are those who never came.

Registration opens at 8pm and we were ushered in to our tables and I managed to get myself a bottle of Jack Daniels. Managed to kept it sealed until 10pm when main crowd arrives but that didn’t stop the alcohol from flowing throughout the night. For those that’s in for some mixers, the bartenders were churning out Whiskey and Martini cocktails for all to drink. But it’s not all about the drinking but the partying. Here’s some party photos from the night specially for those of you who didn’t make it and wondered what happened. (more…)

Max Pellicano as Elvis to the Max in Blue Hawaii Concert

Posted By Michael Yip / December, 15, 2010 / 0 comments

Max Pellicano was in town recently to perform as Elvis Presley in Blue Hawaii in Sunway Lagoon Hotel. This concert was in the bid to raise funds for the Malaysian Liver Foundation, an NGO dedicated towards research on liver ailments, SSL Haemodialysis Welfare Foundation which provides dialysis treatments for the poor, Rotary Club Bukit Bintang’s Ray of Hope programme aimed at providing music education to abandoned children and orphans as well as to individuals in need of medical aid.

The concert was kicked off with a dinner where guests was invited to feast on a 8 course meals before the concert starts. For the fans who wants to skip the dinner, there’s also the non-diner area where the guests with tickets could just go in and catch the concert. And for Elvis fans, this sure is one concert they don’t want to miss.

Prior to the concert, Miss Malaysia International 2010, Ms. Chantelle Chuah went on stage to perform a magical performance that left the crowd cheering in approval. This was followed by some auction to raise funds for the abovementioned charities and with that complete, the highlight of the night begun. Elvis came on stage and wow the crowd for the rest of the night.

No one wants to leave even after Max has completed his show at midnight and some even stood around cheering and asking for more. Sadly, the night has to come to an end but nevertheless, the night was a success as the target amount was exceeded and the various charities get to walk away with the much needed funds for 2011. Max Pellicano is taking a 2 year break from touring and concerts as he will then be staring in an Elvis Presley Broadway show as the lead. Until the next concert then, Elvis Has Left The Building and I leave you with a video of one of his performance from that night.
