A night well planned to the brim thanks to some well organized people. I’m talking bout the plans for Saturday evening, of course, the event itself was well organized as well. Got to the venue at 9.15pm and knew that the show was underway by then, the place was packed, very very packed.

You could say that it was so packed that me and the guys from ARCIS Communication just found ourselves root to this small area near the bar and basically that’s where we stood for the remainder of the night. OK Fine, we moved here and there to get the drinks and to say hi to this person and that person but most of the time, it was within that small invisible square.

Bukit Jalil’s Stadium Putra was buzzing with activities as tennis fans around Malaysia and the region (I hear some guys saying they were from Singapore and some from Europe) gather about to catch John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, Roger Federer and James Blake in action. Oh yeah, this is going to be a photo heavy post compared to my usual two three photos posts. You’ve been warned.

Myself? I was there too! I’m no big tennis fan but as a sports enthusiast, I do know who is who in this game. Anyway, it was 6.40 when I reached the venue and went to grab some food before heading into the stadium to get my seat. Ella, Jaclyn Victor and Ning Baizura entertained the crowd before the players took the stage and start the ball rolling. (more…)

I know I know, it’s corny to use the word Spirit Walk. This is nothing like what you saw on HEROES but to me, you can say that it’s close…

It all started when I met up with splashmilk and the rest of the guys at Tock’s place at 5.30am, yup, you read me right, 5.30am, before we head on out towards the destination of Zoo Negara where we met up with the bunch from KL. The shitty part about this whole thing is, the whole time from start til finish, it was either raining heavily or drizzling. Photography wise, it’s terrible as I wasn’t able to take any nice shots but for hiking wise, it was great as it keeps my body’s temperature down.

As you know, I was at ASIMO’s unveiling at 1Utama on Friday. And one of the thing that was the highlight of the morning (yes the unveiling was at 10am and the public performance was at 1.30pm) is of ASIMO running as well as of ASIMO Dancing and holding objects.

Here’s a video of ASIMO dancing, will upload the running and the serving of food later on.

Earlier today, I was at 1Utama for ASIMO’s opening ceremony as he will be in 1Utama for the weekend. Who would pass up an opportunity to see the one robot that could walk without any assistants, dance, run, even serve people with drinks?

No, robots from anime doesn’t count. Anyway, I’m amazed at the engineering behind ASIMO. During the introduction of ASIMO to the guests, media and contest winners, we could witness how ASIMO walk, run, talk (I think it’s all pre-recorded phrases though), lift and place items on table and even kick a ball. Reta recently celebrated her 21st Birthday …. again….. and invited some friends over to Christine’s place for a nice pool party cum Birthday celebration. I got there early of course, since she say it starts at 10am. I prefer not to be late if I could for anything I do. BUT! .. yes a very big BUT, the birthday girl has not arrived herself!

Anyway, waited for awhile, play around with my camera and then Christine came by. We waited a while more for Reta to arrived and got ourselves and whatever food we had up to the pool area. Sitting around catching up on work and stuff and crowd start to arrive. That was 11am. (more…)
