Portraits: Fashionably Sultry Yvonne
The following are a series of photos of Baby Yvonne in a more fashion based theme. The shoot was done during mid morning when the sun was heading towards it’s high point resulting in a very flat and challenging shoot.

With the clothes and make-up style, I tried to gear the whole project towards the retro feel. (more…)
Portraits: Ai Li @ Barren Field
The following photos was done quite near to home back in Kota Damansara, a hidden gem of a place you can say. To me, there’s a lot of potential for shoots done here and I definitely want to keep it to myself.

Not trying to be stingy with locations and all but sometimes, when you share a place, so many people venture to it that the place tend to be destroyed. In the end, the one on the losing end is the venue itself as it’s beauty that first captivated our attention have become spoilt. (more…)
Going to the shops with Eva Lim
I know I posted up this post earlier but somehow it’s no longer in my list. I guess I’ll have to start all over again.
A whole list of footnotes and stuff all gone down the drain. A bug? Someone got into my account with my super long password that I can barely remember and remove my posts?
Anyway, back to the post. What you get when you have a rainy day, a girl and 2 sets of clothes plus some free time on hand? No, don’t expect any wet t-shirt photos in here. Just a few photos of what I would say is an experimental photoshoot. I will list each photo with a short description of the set-up I used.
1. Escalating effect

Shot with the D300 with the AF Nikkor 50mm glass assist by 1 SB600 working as Slave. Slave positioned at the top right position with it’s strength at 1/1. Setting for Camera is ISO200, F/10 at shutter speed of 1/100sec.
2. Wall of Art(?)

Shot with the D300 with the Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8 glass assist by 1 SB600 working as Slave. Slave positioned at the top right position with it’s strength at 1/16. Setting for Camera is ISO200, F/10 at shutter speed of 1/100sec.
One coming thing from these two photos is the way she stand and her head positioning, just realized the similarity only after I got home but oh well. What’s done’s done.
Jeanine Q & Michelle Alexa
This is the last batch of photos from the fashion shoot you’ve been seeing on my photos. You’ve seen single portraits of Jeanine Q and Michelle Alexa, here’s the ‘group’ shot to complete the entire batch.

The Solo photos was shot with just 1 softbox and the ‘group’ shots here are done with 2 softboxes, one directing at each of subject.

I’ve also put the photos through some photoshopping just to see what works and what doesn’t, just like what I did with the previous 2 posts. Do let me know what you think of the photos, at least I can have a rough idea what people like and not.
My photoshop skills isn’t fantastic and I’m still learning the tools of the trade, still a long way to go compared to some of the more experienced photo photoshop users out there, don’t have to look far, even among bloggers. So do feel free to drop me a comment on what you think of the photos.
Michelle Alexa – Eastern Fashion
Shot Michelle Alexa in a fashion themed shoot. Here’s some photos, do feel free to comment on them.

JeanineQ – Shanghai Mood
Had the chance to work with JeanineQ on this fashion shoot. Shot with 1 softbox and my trusty D300.
Drift Meister
Just putting up clips of Ken Block and his 530 whp Impreza doing a Gymkhana test. It took my attention away from what I was doing so I thought that it’ll be an interesting clip that I’d definitely be viewing repeatedly. What better place to do so than on my own blog right?
Here’s another one… (more…)
Painting the town Red with Ling Ling
Here’s another set of fashion shoot with Ling Ling. Done indoor against a red wall. Lighting is done without any softbox to give that harsh shadow effect.
Case no. 5?

Come Play with Lingling
This shoot was done at a construction site amidst big concrete boulders, grass and sand. After a bad pour, the ground wasn’t really suitable for a person to trek in but Ling Ling despite being in her expensive shoes and clothes braved it out and walk right in towards the chosen spot.
The idea here was to use some (i think to some, it’s too much) contrast to create the feel in this shoot. The element of fashion in a more artsy style. Do you like what you see?
More Free Apps and Games for iPhone
Here’s more FREE Apps and Games for your enjoyment, but I’ll focus more towards productivity and travel apps. You can go here for the games. So here’s a continuation of my list of FREE Applications that I enjoy and want to share with anyone who cares.
Productivity/Interesting Apps
1. The Art of War by Tree Frog
An interesting book that almost everyone had read, a book written long long time ago teaching us strategies of war which is used these days to apply to the business world. Definitely help with the productivity as it’ll provide some insight to some great strategies that we can use in the real world. Easy reading that you can do while you’re traveling between appointments.
Street Fighter 4
I’m a huge huge fan of the game Street Fighter, starting from the very first one that I played at the arcade in Jaya shopping center. No, I didn’t skip school to go play the game but rather, I go to play the game before I go to school. So it’s a win-win situation. Now, in it’s 4th incarnation, street fighter 4 mostly for the home game consoles. Some in-game video for the pure enjoyment all SF fans never get enough of.

Chit Chat with Fiqa (MDG)
This was done some time back but only found the time to post it up now. Spend some time having a talk with Fiqa and well, asked her some question which I told her will be posted on my blog. So here’s some of the things we touched on.
Fiqa Liyana Chong first came into the limelight through the Malaysia DreamGirls competition and with each passing weeks, fans of the show grew to like her even more. At the MDG Finals held at 1Utama, she blew everyone away with her transformation and makes it look like she has been doing the fashion catwalk all her life (I think she got the 2nd loudest cheers from the crowd with Hanis getting the loudest pop at the event). Anyway, on with the chit chat…

M: what are your plans now that MDG is over?
F: my plans after MDG once over is to apply college in KDU for July intake.. besides continuing study, i just signed contract with Capxion Media.. so now, i’ll be getting lots and lots of jobs from them hopefully.. =)
M: In terms of experience, what would have been the most impactful ever that you had from MDG?
F: I think i have learnt a lot from the whole experience and i don’t think there is one certain thing that i can plug out to say it is better than the other. all the photoshoots and things they taught me from MDG really did change me and also made me a better person. (more…)
Triumph Inspiration Award Malaysia National Finals ‘08

A week ago, I received an invitation from Triumph to attend the Triumph Inspiration Award held at Bintang Circle, Pavilion in KL yesterday evening (21st May). Loads of local celebrities and loads of photographers, including some that has no respect for the Official Photographers and Event Organizers (is it because they felt since they are the oldest there, they get the Old People Privilege?). And I mean if you were asked nicely by the Event Organizers to get off the Official Photog’s platform, definitely you will do so right? Well, I was told that these two ‘veterans’ felt that they don’t have to conform to any rules set by the organizers and insist they are to stand on the platform.

Anyway, I’m not here to write about that, it’s not my problems anyway even though the organizers came and bitch to me. I’m there as a guest and I’m definitely there to enjoy myself with the show, the food and the cam-whoring with all my buddies at the venue. (more…)

23rd April, headed over to KL Convention Centre for the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Malaysia 2008, this is the time they showcase the 5 L’Oreal Professionnel Artistic Ambassador for the year 2008/09 as well as 12 of the Malaysian Colour Trophy 2008 finalists L’Oreal Malaysia will be sending to compete in the “Grammy of Hair styling” this coming July where they’ll pit themselves against the best from all over the world.

The 12 of the Malaysian Colour Trophy 2008 finalists showed off some of their latest and unique designs and creation for all to see. MODA Fashion Gateway

Thanks to some friends, I received an invitation to the MODA Fashion Gateway to have a feel of what goes on there. No, I’m not there as a Photographer as I was informed that there’s only a limited number of space for photographers and some people already have all their friends in the list.

Anyway, like I said, there as a guest so I didn’t really try to take any photos. Yes, I tried with just some Camwhoring with my friends happening only, that’s like for an hour, until the fashion show starts then my hands automatically went for the camera and started snapping away along with of the other guests there. Some spotting just a point-n-shoot camera and some with dSLRs. (more…)

Triumph International Brand New Logo Launch @ 1Utama
Heavy downpour and massive traffic jam marks the launch of Triumph International Brand New Logo. Held at 1Utama, guests of the brand, medias and local celebrities was there to celebrate this special occasion on Wednesday.

There were singing performances by Sharizan and Noryn Aziz, the emcee was a super skinny Daphne Iking, fashion showcasing the designers who are working with Triumph this round such as Bill Keith, Jason Yek, Justin Yap, Carven Ong, Khoon Hoi, Richard Tsen and Jimmy Lin (not the Taiwan Celebrity!).

Local artistes such as Erra Fazira, the ever so beautiful Fauziah Latif and the Miss Malaysia World 2007, Deborah Henry was there to help add in a dash of class to the whole event.

The event kicked off with the usual speech by the big brass of Triumph Malaysia followed by a videoshow of the history of the triumph brand leading back to it’s first creation.

They even have a Tunnel of Bra History around the stage area to bring the public back to the first bra that was made, the technology that was introduced to make even better bras and all that stuff. If you’re into bra history, you should take a look.

As for me, like everyone else, enjoyed the whole event as well as the fashion show. The whole event would be ending by the end of the week so if you’re around Bandar Utama, drop by the new wing and check out Triumph’s area. AS for the photos from the launch, click here.
