Gabriel’s Birthday Party
This would be the 1st year we actually have a Kid’s only mini party to celebrate Gabriel’s Birthday with him. He’s 7 this year and is growing up faster than I expected. LMAO. I guess as a single father to two young monstars didn’t prepare me for the other monsters that showed up. It was madness but to see the happiness in my monSTAR for having his friends over just make up for all the overabundance of hyper-activeness around the house for that few hours.
The few hours leading to the party was a pure buzz as we prepared some food and little party packs for the guests and when he cam back from school, he was all excited and rush off to get ready and insist on wearing his favorite t-shirt instead of a new one before his friends pop over. Before the guests arrived, everyone in the family gave him presents but told him to hold back from opening them until after the birthday song is sung. (more…)

Hikayat Sang Kancil
A classic from the ’80s – ’90s, Hikayat Sang Kancil is one of the few cartoon series produced by Film Negara Malaysia featuring a Mouse Deer and his wits in overcoming various obstacles at the same time teaching us some Moral lessons. These videos are from the time before the existence of ASTRO and majority of the viewers either watch this on TV1 or TV2 inbetween all the cartoons.
Grace Yip’s 5th Birthday Celebration
Even though I’ve taken her out to celebrate her birthday, Grace still insist that a birthday celebration must have cakes. So on the evening of her birthday, after dinner. We ‘celebrated’ her birthday with a nice little Blackforest cake (which Gabriel cleaned up after each of us only ate a slice).
And being the only one who knows how to operate the dSLR (cause Grace hid the point n shoot camera), I end up being the camera and my dad took the job of making sure she don’t slam her hands into the cake and leave it edible for the rest of us. Gabriel got to help Grace blow out the candle even though she insist she can do it on her own. (more…)
