The Ultimate Pork Burger Challenge @ Euro Deli Grill
10 men, 10 burgers, 45minutes, 1 outcome. This would be my first video blog and I tried and failed to make it look like the series MAN VS FOOD. Want to know how we did at the Pork Burger Challenge when we took on the Matterhorn from Euro Deli Grill? Watch the video.
The unassuming premise located just behind the Old Town Kopitiam in Jalan Yap Kwan Seng hid a monster waiting to take on any challengers. I drove into the venue at 11.45am and the place was dead quiet, not a single soul around except for the few people cleaning up inside the restaurant. (more…)
Banana Leaf Rice @ Raju Restaurant
Raju’s has always been a place I’ve patronized since school days, yup, they’ve been around for ages. Located just next to La Salle PJ Secondary School, it’s the nearest place to go whenever we visit that school for sports or scout related activities.

Then there’s a long break of 2 years before this visit to Raju’s again. A lot has changed at this restaurant since last time, from having folding tables and stools, now we get metal top tables on properly leveled ground, loud speakers piping out music and food orders and all that jazz. (more…)
Swedish Meal @ IKEA Tampines
It was one of those days where I had a sudden craving for IKEA food, mind you, I do go over to IKEA@Mutiara Damansara a lot with my family for meals but it’s quality pales in comparison to what IKEA@Singapore can offer. The IKEA of choice whenever I’m in Singapore? Is the one at Tampines, maybe it’s because I’m more familiar with that area than the one at Alexander Road.

As there’s only limited choice of what you can order at IKEA, I ordered the Chicken Drumstick meal which consist of a piece of baked chicken leg served with coleslaw, mashed potato and baby carrots on the side. The way it’s prepared is basically similar to the way it’s prepared in IKEA@Mutiara Damansara except that here, they use baby carrots while the one in Malaysia served with sliced carrots. (more…)
Restoran Chongqing Chicken Hot Pot 重庆鸡公煲 @ Kepong
The last time I went to this restaurant was with Ringo of Cheeserland.com back in late 2007 for a food review with FoodStreet. Since then, it’s been awhile since I last go into Kepong and so when the opportunity to grab some dinner there. Immediately the 1st place i thought about was the Chicken Hot Pot restaurant.

As we roughly knew what we wanted to order, it was quite simple and straight forward. The 1st pot to arrive is the restaurant’s signature dish, the Chicken Hot Pot. The sauce it was served in was thick and mildly spicy and they did not hold back in filling the pot up with meat and vegetables. You can inform them how spicy you want the meal to be so they will serve to you according to your tolerance level. (more…)
Lunch @ Ipoh Garden East Ocean Seafood Restaurant
It’s been awhile (since Chinese New Year) that the loads of us adults and our bunch of noisy little monsters got together as a family for lunch, and so we head over to Ipoh Garden East Ocean Seafood Restaurant and got ourself into a nice cosy room (so that the lunch hour crowd would not be bombarded by the madness that is in the form of 5 hyper active children) and got ourselves some well deserved food.

This restaurant is sort of my family’s usual eating place when we have the cravings of something more than our usual consumption. Even the staffs there are friendly to us like we’re their long lost friends each time we go, but then in Ipoh, it’s quite a norm that most people will know most people. The 6th Degree of Separation is in full effect here. (more…)
