Cut Throat @ PJ Seafood Restaurant

This is one of the harshest post that’ll ever appear on this site, I can’t help but being disappoint with the food there and I don’t normally mess around when it comes to food. It had been awhile since my family last came here for dinner and so we thought that it’ll be a nice place to go to celebrate my dad’s birthday which is actually today! So … HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

We arrived at the restaurant about 7ish, normally by then, there would be a lot of people but it wasn’t so on that night. Found a spot to seat, menu was given and the Manager was trying to recommend (but it was more like trying to push) some of their dishes and we made our choices.

These are the food we ordered, I don’t really know the names of the dishes so I’ll just comment on them without the names. Read the rest of this entry »

What happens when you have a bunch of hungry guys and girls including the likes of Hannah Tan, Pietro Felix, Harith Iskandar, Hans Isaac wonders what to eat for dinner? Well, wonder no more, these sets of food was from some time back when we were in Kota Kinabalu for a show.

Roast Duck @ Loong Foong Seafood Restaurant

After eating at Sunrise Duck at Seapark for a number of time now, I decide to bring Stephenie to another famous restaurant where people just lined up in droves to buy Roast Ducks. That place was known as Loong Foong Seafood restaurant located just about 15minutes walk from Sunrise. The place operates only at night but you can see people lining up to buy ducks there from as early as 5ish. I used to be one of them who would go there to buy on the way home from work.

Got ourselves a nice place to sit and proceed to order half a duck with a simple plate of vege. It took them about 5min before serving us our food which is quite ok looking at the amount of people waiting in line for their take-away. Read the rest of this entry »

Wing Kee Famous Ipoh Hor Fun @ Changi Village Food Court

Having made my one and only trip to Changi Village, I got the chance to eat the famous Ipoh Hor Fun stall at the Changi Village Food Court. Why I say it was famous? The people that was waiting in line in front of the Wing Kee (Since 1976) stall made me think of it like that.

As I walked into the food court, the one thing that caught my attention was this long line of people in front of the stall compared to the many other stalls in the premise. My friends asked me what I want to eat but even before they asked me, I already made up my mind wanting to give it a try, after all, that stall’s window was plastered with food reviews from the likes of Makan Sutra and many others.

After getting our spots in the place, off I went and got myself in line and within 15minutes or so, it was my turn to order. It was plain simple, just say the number that’s written next to the food photo and that’s it, the gentleman standing in front of me will promptly say the name of the dish and ask for money. The amazing thing is, he say the name of the dish so softly yet the cook behind the window was able to hear him. Even I had a hard time hearing what he said especially in the noisy environment we were in. Read the rest of this entry »
