Week 3 @ Body Express

It’s been 3 weeks since I first started my work-out regime at Body Express and under the guidance of Leonardo De Azevedo in his very own customized 10 weeks transformation program that would turn me from a lethargic man to one who is fit. I might not be able to get 6 packs and all that in 10 weeks (it take some years to turn their body into a lean mean muscular machine and I only have 10 weeks. Of course, that doesn’t mean I won’t try right?

Anyway, as is done every week, I will update you on my weekly progress since my daily progress can be followed at my twitter page. And to start off the 3rd week of my regime, I always have a weight check to see my progress after each week. (more…)

Glenmorangie Whisky Tasting Session

During a recently rainy evening, I dropped by Moet Hennessy Diageo Malaysia‘s head office to spend an evening with the Unnecessarily Well Made Glenmorangie Original and it’s many siblings that has over the years allow whisky lovers to enjoy some truly exquisite Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

As a purveyor of perfection and maker of arguably the most delicious and complex single malt whisky in the world, they brought in Arnaud Mirey, Regional Brand Ambassador for Glenmorangie to educate us further about the world of Glenmorangie in a Single Malt Whisky tasting Session. So we have a French Professional in wines and Spirits with 10 years as Sommelier and manager of a Michelin star restaurants teaching us something Scottish. (more…)

Week 2 @ Body Express

The start of the 2nd week of my 10 week transformation at Body Express started with fantastic news as I was told based on the digital reader that I lost 2kg from the original measurements I did prior week 1. For those of you wanting to know what I do regularly at the gym, you can follow my daily report on twitter at twitter.com/zique and the Hashtag #LeonardoAzevedo as Leonardo is the person who’s whipping me into shape.

I actually had to do a double take and read the reading again as I didn’t believe myself. OK, I had hoped that I would have lost more than 2kg within the 1st week but quite a lot of people told me that 2kg is quite a big deal already especially because I haven’t really worked out for much prior to this and to put myself through the 1st week and came out with 2kg lighter. 1st Week @ Body Express Subang

To the Facebook and Twitter followers, they would know by now that I’ve just recently started going to Gym after being introduced by Raj Aria to Body Express that’s located in Subang Avenue. Body Express is famously known to be the home to the workout program dubbed The Spartanz. I got to witness one of the class as it happened and boy, the intensity that went in to the short 30minute workout is incredible!

Your body barely have enough time to rest before the trainers get you to move to the next set of activities. Was told by Leonardo, one of the head trainer at Body Express the reason for such short but condense sets of work out is to make our body muscle work extra hard in that short span of time. This is to maximise the amount of energy spend to create the best result as compared to a normal workout where the muscles are allowed to rest in between sets and once it happened too often, you will waste time to kick start the muscle to move again once you rest too long.
