Amuleto by Crystal Jade

Was invited to dinner at Crystal Jade last Thursday at Midvalley and boy, it was a great dinner indeed. The food was fantastic and the hospitality and wine of Crystal Jade was superb.

Ain’t going to talk about what we talk at the dinner but here’s the food we ate. This is in the order of the food that was served to us.

Boxing Chicken – Very tasty appetizer, easy to the bite and just sweet enough that even the people who doesn’t like sweet stuff would like it.

Vegetable Beef Roll – This cute plate of little rolls is quite nice. I can’t really say much about it as I’m not really a beef person.

Quartet Soup – Each tubes consist of a very nice soup. I believe each day would have 4 different type of soup served? I could be mistaken.

Papaya Salad with Chicken Floss in Thai Style – It’s a tad spicy but nice. It’s like the thai mango salad but instead of mango, they used Papaya.

Amuleto Fried Seafood Spaghetti with Olive Oil – Very refreshing and the prawns are fresh

Rosti with Mushroom – Crunchy and the mushroom’s quite nice.

Sizzling Cheesy glutinous Rice Cake with seaweed & Katsuobushi – It has cheese. Nuff said.

Greens Tempura with Shredded Dried Scallop – This tempura dish is quite unique, you’d be surprised the type of green they used for this. I’m not going to spoil the surprise, you should order and try it yourself.

Wasabi Steak – The Steak’s good but the wasabi’s a tad too spicy for me.

Cheesy Fries – It’s fries with Cheese, what more?

Chocolate Fondue – It’s excellent dessert! it’s CHOCOLATE!!!!
