Ah Beng’s Guide to Wine Tasting

Wine: Pinot Noir(France)
Label: Joseph Drouhin Laforet, Bourgogne
Color: Red

How ATAS people  describe it: The hue has a brilliant ruby-garnet color. The nose offers effusive aromas of crushed berries. (On the palate, the wine is full of charm and very pleasant to drink); fresh and fruity berry flavors with light and elegant tannins.

The Ah Beng Way: This one red-red coror one, smell and taste like Ribena like dat.

Wine: Riesling (USA)
Label: Chateau Ste Michelle
Color: White

How ATAS people  describe it: This is a dry, crisp, refreshing style of Riesling with beautiful fruit forward flavors, crisp acidity and elegant finish. It offers brisk, Riesling character of white peach and mandarin oranges with a clean finish. An incredibly versatile wine.

The Ah Beng Way: This one vely dly, vely crispy wan. Like potato chip. But drink that time a bit like oleng joo, a bit like Qoo. This one very chin chai, anywhere also can drink.

Wine: Carménère Reserva (Chile)
Label: Caliterra
Color: Red

How ATAS people  describe it: This is a wel-balanced, elegant wine with a deep violet-red color and a rich, round mouthfeel. The nose offers a complex range of aromas such as ripe plum, liquorice, and black and red pepper interwoven with chocolate and toasty notes.

The Ah Beng Way: This one the coror a bit red, a bit pur pur. Like your face after some ah beng come and hoot you. But the smell a bit chiam – got plum la, pepper la, even got chocolate and toast (but no kaya). A bit chapalang la, but must say “it’s complex”. Otherwise, how people will pay for it?

Wine: Gewürztraminer (USA)
Label: Columbia Crest Two Vines Gewürztraminer
Color: White

How ATAS people  describe it: This fruit forward wine accents classic Gewürztraminer characteristics of lychee, dried apricots and hints of rose petal. Subtle spicy-sweet fruit flavors linger through a refreshing, juicy finish.

The Ah Beng Way: This one got lychee taste, got apricot, even got a bit of bandung inside. Drinking it is like going to the mamak and order a mixed fruit juice. But of course, sibeh expensive laaaa!

The guide is really good and informative as well. The above mentioned reislings wine are really awesome and will certainly give you more pleasure if you will drink it with smoking Partagas cigars. I love to do it as it gives me joy and satisfaction.
