Afro Samurai: Resurrection
Are you a fan of Afro Samurai (アフロサムライ, Afuro Samurai?)? The Original was a 5 part anime featuring noted American actor Samuel L. Jackson as the voice of the titular character and his sidekick, as well as one of the co-producers, and also features Ron Perlman and Kelly Hu as character voices.

Wu-Tang Clan member RZA produced the original hip hop musical score, which was released on compact disc by Koch Records on January 30, 2007 in both uncut and edited versions. You can either download the anime via torrent or get the SpikeTV version and an unrated director’s cut on DVD and Blu-ray Disc.
I was hoping for more follow up to the series and lo and behold! The sequel, Afro Samurai: Resurrection was released as a movie! Launched on Spike TV on January 25, 2009. The movie will later be re-released as a 4 part series but only on American channels. American actor Samuel L. Jackson returns as the voice for Afro and Ninja-Ninja, while this time he is joined by Lucy Liu who voices Afros’ enemy Sio, Mark Hamill also joins as the voice of Sio’s protector and henchman Bin.
For people like us who doesn’t get a chance at catching it on TV, we can only rely on downloads. For now, you can view the movie in 2 parts.
