About the Singapore Countdown Party, Allan Wu’s hair and more!
This is really interesting, over the past 2 to 3 weeks, we’ve seen heavy publicity for the Party @ The Float in Singapore Marina’s Bay but with a week to go for the big event, now we see it being canceled.

I thought Singaporeans are a partying bunch? I guess everyone’s affected by the recent financial crisis that hits the World huh. I was actually looking forward to that party as I wonder how it will be like especially with all the heavy publicity and promotion on TV. I guess those that’s already made plans for the party will have to start making other arrangements eh. As for myself, you’d just have to wait and see where I’ll be celebrating my New Year.
Something in relation to this Countdown party, anyone managed to catch the Carlsberg commercial on TV? The one with Fiona Xie and Allan Wu and the various other stars on it?

Now can someone please tell me what’s wrong with Allan’s hair? It’s like he isn’t bothered bout the commercial at all and so did not bother to comb his hair. Or rather they just decide to put a wig on his head cause his hair’s just too short and too goody looking? I didn’t really pay attention to the commercial at all except for his hair. Just felt it look so messy. Compare it with this portrait i shot of him some months back. You can see the difference even if he didn’t really comb his hair during the photoshoot.

On the other note, how many bloggers out there got stuck at the Singapore Flyer recently? This is the first time I hear of the thing breaking down. I’ve not seen the Eye@Malaysia breaking down before and having people stuck in it so I was quite shocked that the one in Singapore got broken down. Was it some deliberate incident? Machinery failure? What worried me when I watched the news was that there were even old people on board. Imagine the shock and trauma they have to endure.
From what I read, the Singapore Flyer will be on hold and restricted until the New Year pending investigation. For more news on it, you can read here.
Why am I suddenly so intrigue by all these news happening in Singapore? Well, I constantly browse news from both Malaysia and Singapore all the time and also, it’s Christmas morning, I got up early and got too much free time on my hand. So yeah… just some interesting updates to note down. Whether there’s anyone that bothered or not, I’m not the least interested to know. Christmas is here, time to plan for the New Year’s eve! By the way, where are you having your countdown party?

An interesting note on the Malaysian front. Why is there still people harping on the Dr. Chua the Viagra Man scandal? He has apologized, stepped down from all his political positions and turn over a new leaf (I hope) and was recently appointed the Deputy President of MCA with great support from all the members of the party. What’s the need now to start bringing that topic up again and asking him to step down? If you don’t want him at that position in the first place, why vote for him? Are you just plain jealous of his success and can’t stand that he is respected by fellow members of the MCA party? Get a life! For the report on that news, click here.

Man Utd fans, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will be happy to see out the season with the current crop of players at his disposal. Chasing a third straight title, he said: “I do not think there will be any January transfers. I am happy with what I have got. We are probably going to bring back a couple of young players who have been on loan.”

So we know now that we’re going to save some cash in January and put the cash to good use for 2009/2010 season. Sounds good to me. For those of you still living in the dark ages. Man Utd won the FIFA Club World Cup. The first English team to win it since the tournament’s inception in 2000! The Golden Ball won by Wayne Rooney (being the top Goal Scorer of the tournament with 3 goals) and the Silver Ball won by Christiano Ronaldo. Are you looking forward to the 2nd half of the season? I know I am. Boxing Day schedule’s all packed too! Let’s bring it on!

His hair pretty much looks like a 20 yo american teenager
United don’t need new players. The players need a new attititude. Our performance this season is well short of acceptable but we’re going to take it right to the end of the season. Hopefully 2009 will be an even better one than 2008.
