I tried to come up with some fancy title but I couldn’t. At the end of the day, it’s all about charity anyway and there’s no need for a fancy title for what we want to do. The aim of this page is to provide updates on what is happening and the funds that has been collected so far with a screenshot of the bank statement updated regularly.
FUND RAISING TARGET: RM20,000
Donation can be made in several ways. You can issue a cheque or you can bank in your donation to the following particulars
BANK: MAYBANK
NAME: YIP CHEE KIN
BANK ACCOUNT: 1-141-9660-630-7 (SAVING ACCOUNT)
Please email me the bank-in slip or screen shot to zique76 [at] hotmail.com so I could post it up here as part of the updates. And so that I know who is the one banking in the money unless you wish to remain anonymous.
Yes, that is the amount I’m trying to raise, it’ll be great if the amount exceed the amount I’m targeting. If I could raise more than the stated amount, instead of putting the money to one home, I will split it up to two homes. It does cost a lot of money for these homes to run their day to day operations. And at the end of the day, I want us to raise the money for the children. I want them to know that no matter what happens, we got their back.
Do Note that I will list out all contributions in this site, so you would have to let me know if you don’t want your name to be shown then I will just note it down as KIND SAMARITAN - $(contribution amount)
DONATION COLLECTED TO DATE: RM3,625.00
- RM100 – Fabian Nesan Selva
- RM20 – Pua Li Ping
- RM100 – Mr. Enghuat
- RM100 – Andrew Chiam
- RM200 – Sin Tai Lim
- RM3,000 –

- RM5.00 – All Lives Being
The reason for this is so that everyone know who is donating and so on and so forth. Another thing is, if you are one of the RM1 donors, it’ll be hard for me to be posting your names in here as it will take up a lot of space. So I will only be posting up names of donors contributing RM100 and above. Hope you all can understand.
COLLECTION WILL END ON FEBRUARY 28, 2012 after which I will post up the final total. Some of this amount will then be used to purchase URGENT ITEMS that the home need and I will post up what are the things that has been purchased and so forth.
IF YOU HAVE CLOTHES/BOOKS/HOUSEHOLD ITEMS YOU WISH TO DONATE, Please let me know too and we can arrange for a day on a weekly basis for me to pick these items up. Please make sure that these are items that is in proper condition and not clothes you want to discard and find this as an opportunity to do so. I’m not trying to be harsh here but I’ve received some clothes and books that is all torn up and is more fit to be thrown/recycled than to be worn by these children.

One of the Homes we will be assisting is Beth Shalom – Beth Shalom is a children’s home located in Kota Damansara, catering to the less fortunate from the indigenous tribes (Orang Asli). Founded in 2006 by Lete Dharan, who is currently managing the home all by herself. This good Samaritan has dedicated her life to the Orang Asli ministry, and the home currently has 10 children under her care.
FUN DAY OUT WITH THE LESS FORTUNATE CHILDREN
On March 11th, 2012, I have planned to do a FUN DAY OUT for orphans for a selected orphanage (but if the funds exceed the target amount we plan to raise then we’ll select another orphanage to join in the fun as well).
I have managed to get some of our local personalities to help me out in this. Linora Low & Mynn Lee of Red.FM as well as Sheela Khaw (Miss Global International Malaysia 2011/2012) (They don’t really have a choice as I’m also managing them) will come on board as the hosts with performances by up-and-coming star of Malaysia as well as many more (updates to follow when each one confirms their participation)
I have also rope in my Mike Yip Studio team to provide photography and video documentation of everything that’s happening and to be shared on Youtube.com as well as Facebook.
Facebook Event Page is at http://on.fb.me/MyDonate2012 so if you wish to attend and help out, do go and update so I know the head-count we’ll be expecting aside from the children.
I’m taking upon myself to sponsor tickets to the Beanieplex and bring these kids to catch the movie on March 11 and TGV CINEMAS is kind enough to come in and provide a venue for us to run the event prior to the movie screening! On behalf of the children, THANK YOU FOR THE FANTASTIC SUPPORT!
Activities (TENTATIVE) for March 11th, 2012
1) Pick-Up of children from Home to Venue in Sports cars (if you are a sports car owner and wants to join in to give this children a treat, please let me know)
2) Light Breakfast (mostlikely prepare some sandwiches and hot coco by the volunteers the night before)
3) Activities at the venue hosted by Linora, Mynn and Sheela Khaw (they will also be going around to do interviews with the kids and volunteers) + performance and maybe an introduction to some slippery friends(?)
4) Movie Screening (I’m trying to persuade TGV to allow the children to enjoy the movie in their Beanieplex! that sits 48pax, volunteers will just have to sit by the side steps if you wish to be in the cinema with the children as the kids are the Royalty on that day! and we’ll be watching DR SEUSS’ THE LORAX.

5) Lunch + convoy back to Home

For those of you who’s interested to take the donation drive a step further, from 1pm to 5pm, there will be a blood donation drive happening at TGV Sunway Pyramid itself. I’ve met with the representative from our National Blood Bank and they’ve agreed to set up beds in the Function Hall for this purpose. Do spread the word as I’m hoping to get at least 50 – 60 people to come in and donate.
Until the next update, thank you for your support and do feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.
You can reach me at zique76 [at] hotmail.com if you have any more questions and inquiries. I will post up a contact number here as well that you can reach me later on. You can also call me at 010-528-7695 between 10am and 7pm every day if you have any questions or wish to call me regarding collection and so forth.
Michael
