Dinner @ Groove Junction

Backpost to the evening we went to watch Dina & the Crazy People, we weren’t just there to watch her show, we went there to grab some meals too!

Here’s what we ate that night.

One of the first dish I ordered even without the need to think was the Calamari Rings - Deep Fried Squid rings with Garlic Mayo, I love the way they prepare their calamari rings as it was crunchy from the first bite to the last. This, coupled with the Garlic Mayo. Heavenly to me!

And then the main course I ordered was the Angel Hair Alio Alio - Sauteed Tiger Prawn & Olive Oil Herbs. Quite simple and in a way healthy as the preparation for this one is very simple. They gave alot of Angel Hair on it too compared to other places around the area serving the same dish.

StrippedSteph ordered the Chicken Pie - Puff Pastry with Creamy Chicken Stew and Herbs served with Cherry tomato and salad. Now, I took a bite on this dish and I must say, the chicken stew is really creamy to the extend that I couldn’t take it. Side track abit, here’s a funny thing that has been reoccuring each time we go out to eat, we’ve always been picking out the same dish over and over again. 10 out of 10 dishes we plan to order individually, it comes up to be the same dish of choice.  Is this uncanny or what?

And the bosses of Groove Junction came around and have a chat with me for awhile and she was surprised we didn’t order their signature finger food and told her head waiter to quickly prepare the Crispy Oyster Mushroom for us - served with Chili herbs, boy, were we glad they insist on us trying this dish. 2 words to sum it up… I’m Hooked!

And throughout the performance, when I’m not busy snapping photos away, I’m biting into something and the victim of choice was the Junction Wedges served with garlic mayo. Potato wedges are potato wedges so yeah … that’s that.

Drinks wise, she had the Peach smoothie and I had the Tigers (ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR). Total bill? Let’s just say that with RM150, I had some change and this doesn’t include the Crispy Oyster Mushroom that was boss’ treat.
