This was done some time back but only found the time to post it up now. Spend some time having a talk with Fiqa and well, asked her some question which I told her will be posted on my blog. So here’s some of the things we touched on.

Fiqa Liyana Chong first came into the limelight through the Malaysia DreamGirls competition and with each passing weeks, fans of the show grew to like her even more. At the MDG Finals held at 1Utama, she blew everyone away with her transformation and makes it look like she has been doing the fashion catwalk all her life (I think she got the 2nd loudest cheers from the crowd with Hanis getting the loudest pop at the event). Anyway, on with the chit chat…

M: what are your plans now that MDG is over?
F: my plans after MDG once over is to apply college in KDU for July intake.. besides continuing study, i just signed contract with Capxion Media.. so now, i’ll be getting lots and lots of jobs from them hopefully.. =)

M: In terms of experience, what would have been the most impactful ever that you had from MDG?
F: I think i have learnt a lot from the whole experience and i don’t think there is one certain thing that i can plug out to say it is better than the other. all the photoshoots and things they taught me from MDG really did change me and also made me a better person.

M: You told me that you recently signed with Capxion Media, how did that come about?
F: Capxion Media has made us who we are today and they offered contracts to us to manage us as most of us are very fresh in the industry. Elaine Daly will be pushing us to the industry with Capxion.

M: If there’s one thing you’d want to change from this whole MDG experience, what would it be?
F: One thing i would definitely try to change if given the chance will maybe to be more vocal with my fans and asking them to vote for me… i dont think i did bad with the challenges and photoshoots but i just think my fanbase is not big enough…

M: Have you gotten any modeling/acting jobs since appearing on MDG?
F: Big jobs not really, i think it will take time… but i have been appearing in some hairshows and also i have been approached by some people… so hopefully things will pick up from here…

M: You also mentioned that you’re going to take up ADP with a major in Marketing, any worries that your college mates and lecturers would treat you differently since you’ve became famous as one of the MDG contestants?
F: well… i dont think there will be any problems as I am a nice person… and i dont consider myself famous… its just an experience in my life and a chance for me to chase my dreams…as for my studies and college mates… i think it will be the same..

M: Do you still keep in touch with any of the girls from MDG?
F: ya i do keep in touch with them…

M: Any upcoming projects that your fans might expect to see you in?
F: I am taking things slow and trying to plan my things properly so that is wont clash with my studies… but if there are any upcoming things.. i will def update my fans… it will sure be on my blog…

M: Any last word for all your fans?
F: I hope my fans will still be there to support me all the way… they really motivated me to continue pushing myself and make it big in this industry… check out my blog and continue giving me support.. thanks for everything and all the support given by them throughout MDG… i really appreciate it…
